Laneige lip sleeping mask

Hi skincare junkies!

Today I want to share with you a little find which I really love: the lip sleeping mask by Laneige ( available on Amazon for £15).

Laneige is a Korean brand which specializes in hydration and also offers a variety of masks and boosters.

I stumbled upon their lip mask during one of my sleepless nights and it immediately caught my attention as I do sometimes suffer from cracked dry lips.

This little red tub arrived very quickly and I tried it right away!! It tastes like berry and it’s very creamy in consistency: the core of the formula relies on vitamin c and a mix of antioxidant.

I did apply a little layer the first night and to be honest, in the morning my lips did feel super smooth, hydrated and plump.I did continue using for a week and I started using during daytime too and I love it!

If you have dry and cracked lips or you are just intrigued by the idea of a lip mask, I highly recommend it. I know it comes in other flavors too if you are not into berries.

There is another item which is on my wishlist and it is their water sleep mask so expect a review very soon.

Tria Age-defying laser and eye wrinkle corrective laser

 Hello skincare junkies!

As promised I will be reviewing both the face and eye corrective lasers by Tria.

First of all, to get it out of the way, I want to say I bought both devices myself on eBay ( you can get manufacturer refurbished ones for a fraction of the original price and with one-year eBay warranty) for £139 and £80 respectively instead of the rrp of £375 and £299.

I first bought the eye laser as the eye area is my main concern but unfortunately, it really burnt the orbital area! I then decided, after reading rave reviews, to purchase the face one and I have been using it for three weeks.

The Tria Age-defying laser sends targeted beams of light deep within the skin to stimulate collagen production in exactly the same way that professional laser treatments do for a fraction of the price and with almost no downtime.

You are supposed to use it every day for 8 weeks, stop for a month, and then start a new protocol if you feel the need. The machine has three levels of intensity but Tria suggests the use of level 3 to obtain best results.I started on level 2 right away(no pain no gain) and boy it stings!! after the treatment my face was very red and kind of sore so I applied my go-to soothing treatments( Dr. Sebagh Rose de Vie serum and Sukin moisture replenishing night cream). The next morning the redness had vanished so I continued the following evening and for the next three weeks so far every day diligently I used my laser.

My thoughts so far: This laser is amazing! My pores are practically non-existent, my nasolabial folds have diminished but overall my skin is incredibly luminous , radiant and healthy looking.I must warn you during the first few weeks of use you will experience some increased roughness in the skin texture and you might notice some little brown dots coming to the surface of the skin. Tria assured me that is normal so just stick with it. Please wear a Spf30 or higher daily, if you do not do it already.

I still have 5 weeks to go and I am sure my results will keep improving and I will make sure to post more pictures as I go along with the treatment.

I hope you found this review helpful.

Welcome to my wonderland

Hi peeps,

My name is Alessandro(a.k.a. Alex)and you are probably wondering why the need for another beauty blog and you are probably right as it seems nowadays everyone is at it.

I have been putting this blog off for years because I thought the market was over saturated or for fear of boring people, but then I thought ‘ what the heck’ and I decided to jump into it.

I have been a skincare junkie for as long as I can remember and having worked in the beauty industry for the past 15 years has also given me an insight and probably a better knowledge when it comes to beauty.

I have spent thousands of pounds on miracle creams, serums, and gadgets over the years: there were successes but also lots of fails. So I decided to gather some of the most recent purchases and share them with you all unfiltered and unbiased.Every week I will be updating you on new finds, epic fails or holy grails.

Enough with the rambling and let’s get to it with my latest purchase: Tria Age-Defying Laser .
