Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow extreme 6%

Hello skincare junkies,

Today’s post is about a glycolic toner from the brand Nip+Fab( younger sister of the more expensive brand Rodial).I want to be honest and let you know I am not a huge fan of either of these brands: I tried several products( snake mask, magic gel, dragon’s blood gel, pink diamond serum) and several hundred pounds later I do not belive they are as effective as they claim to be.Having said that, I recently stumbled upon this glycolic toner and I fell in love with it. I am all about exfoliation, my skin can tolerate acids very well and when I saw this toner offered a 6% glycolic I immediately bought it ( on offer for £14.99 at Superdrug).

Glycolic acid is part of the group of active compounds known as AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids). Derived from cane sugar: It has the smallest molecules in the group so is able to penetrate skin deeply and easily, making it the most effective for treating fine lines, acne, blackheads, dullness, oiliness etc..The Highest concentration that you would find in an over the counter product is 10 %, so 6% is not too shabby. As a guy, I also find glycolic and salicylic acids are great at reducing razor bumps and shaving irritation.Whenever I use this toner my skin looks immediately brighter, pores appear smaller and over time I noticed my skin feels tighter and firmer too.Let’s get to it now:

WHAT IS IT: a toning solution, safe for use once or twice a day, designed to unclog pores, reveal brighter skin, reduce irritation and improve discoloration and pigmentation. If your skin is very sensitive, I would advise a patch test first and once a day use.

WHAT’S IN IT:  the hero ingredient here is glycolic acid,as discussed above, but the ingredient list offers some more surprises as we also have Hyaluronic acid for moisture retention, Allantoin for its great soothing and healing properties, Niacinamide (Vit B3)for its effectiveness at improving skin texture and discoloration  and Salicylic acid, which belongs to the BHA group, for its ability to unclog pores and reduce blackheads.Overall a very well formulated and effective toning treatment

WHO IS IT FOR anybody can benefit from this great product, especially problematic skin, individuals prone to pigmentation and acne scarring and anyone with dull looking skin.As mentioned above this is a great treatment for guys who suffer from shaving rashes.

The Glycolic fix liquid gold is available at nationwide NIP+FAB retailers, watch out as some of them are offering good discounts at the moment on this range.

UPDATE: nip+fab website now offering this toner at £9.95

If you want me to try any other exfoliating treatment please let me know and I’ll look into it.

  1. I love the extreme glycolic fix pads so much! I wanted to try this, but the shipping was a bit insane… I’ll wait till it lands here in Canada, and keep this review in mind. Thanks!

  2. Hi, I’ve been looking up reviews for this since I tried it; I’m curious what other people’s experience with it is. It’s my first time using acids having been a bit of a face scrub addict in my 20s and I’m SO glad I stopped and moved to acids. I have been using the N+F at night and when I wake up my skin feels so, so oily! I was concerned at first but after washing the toner off (using the Bulldog face easing of oily skin, it’s great) my face feels INCREDIBLE like I have a whole new softer skin. It’s 100% the effect of the toner as that’s all I’ve used that’s different at night

I’m really intrigued to see if anyone else’s skin is so oily after using it….it feels like it’s melted the dirt and oil out of my pores (in a good way!)

    1. hi caroline
      thanks for your message.
I have not noticed that , but i have noticed when i apply it ,y face is not oily but kinda looks shiny 🙂 which i like a lot
overall i think its a great product for the pricre

  3. Bought this yesterday as I have become really self conscious about my skin. I’m in my early 30s & the last couple of weeks my forehead has become covered in little bumps. Used it yesterday no burning sensation so may try twice a day
