I hope you are all doing well despite the snow. Speaking of, with this peculiar weather my skin has become increasingly drier and drier( I am usually normal to dry) and I thought I would share with you what I am using right now to keep it supple, hydrated, radiant and nourished.I will link al the products below and please let me know what you like and what you don’t.
First things first: let’s talk cleansers. I tend to prefer oils or balms and right now I am in love with the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide face cleaning oil , a luxurious oil that in contact with water turns into a milky emulsion and removes makeup and impurities, leaving the skin clean and supple, never dry. My second step is my face oil: I am addicted to face oils and I use them all year round( I sometimes add a drop or two to my foundation to give it that natural dewy finish), right now I am alternating Dr Sebagh Rose de vie serum ( a rosehip oil based dry oil) and the Yes To Blueberries face and neck oil(very different price points here, £129 vs £13).To be honest I like them both equally so whenever money is tight I go for the latter.I normally take 4 or g drops and pat them on my face and neck.(https://www.beautybay.com/skincare/yesto/blueberriesfaceneckoil/)
After my oil, in the morning I follow with Sampar 3-day weekend ( which I have previously reviewed) and Dr. Sebagh Sun city SPF30.In the evening I follow with Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% retinol.(https://www.paulaschoice.co.uk/clinical-retinol-treatment-m8010.html)
As far as an eye cream is concerned, even though I believe it’s not a necessity as a well-formulated face moisturizer can be used around the eyes too, I like to experiment with them and is probably the one item I change more often. Right now I am using Dr. Perrcone firming eye cream. (://www.perriconemd.com/skincare/anti-aging-eye-treatments/hypoallergenic-firming-eye-cream-MP0034.html)
There you have it, my routine for these crazy cold days. Hope you like it.
