The best eye cream yet?( for me at least…)

Hello skincare junkies,

in my land of sleepless nights, overworn contact lenses and depleting collagen, I am always looking for an eye cream that can make me look like I had 10 hours sleep, that can erase any signs of fatigue, wrinkles, tears of joy and sadness and that can pretty much make me look 15 again! The amount of money I spent over the years in the search is embarrassing but I might, i say ‘might’, have found the best eye cream yet!

SKINPEP is a small company I talked about before on my Instagram account and they offer a couple of eye creams and the one I am talking about is called ‘ dark circle eraser eye cream’:

I ordered it about a couple of months ago and I have been hooked ever since. It has a lightweight yet very hydrating feel to it, it comes out with a kind og goldish tone that helps to minimise dark circles immediatly but what really sold me was the ingredient list that i have to share with you:Matrixyl, Fibroblast Growth Factor, Transforming Growth Factor, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, MAP, Ascorbic Acid, Aloe Vera Ext, Niacinamide, Witch Hazel Ext, Panthenol, CO-Q10, Green Tea Ext, Algae Ext, Vit E, Red Ginseng Ext, Ginkgo Biloba Ext, Grape Seed Ext, Resveratrol, Adenosine, Retinol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cucumber Ext, Lecithin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Ferulic Acid, Laminaria Ochroleuca Ext, Soybean Seed Ext, Shea Butter, Evening Primrose Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Allantoin, Chamomile Ext, Padina Pavonica Ext, (Wheat) Germ Oil, Rose Flower Ext, Willow Bark Ext, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Bisabolol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dimethicone, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Laureth-7, Laureth-23, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Chlorphenesin, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Sodium Chloride, Disodium EDTA PEG-240/HDI Copolymer Bis Decyltetradeceth-20 Ether, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane.

Where to start: the first ingredient is Matrixyl(aka Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4) is the first ingredient and a very powerful peptide shown to be very effective in plumping up fine lines. the list is pretty impressive with ingredients such as niacinamide for brightening,re tinol for retexrurising,an tioxidants,om egas,so othing ingredients like allantoin,hy aluronic acid and collagen.

Science facts aside , this eye cream pucks a punch especially for the very reasonable price :£14.99, you can also order a 2ml sample from their website for £2.99.

It works beautifully under makeup and on its own but what really impressed me is that my dark circles and bags have significantly diminished since using it and I also love the immediate brightening and softening effect it gives.

If you are looking  for a good eye cream that does not cost the earth,th at is well formulated and effective then I highly recommed this one.Let me know if you tried it ,if you love it and generally what you think of it.

That’s all for now,

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Liquid Glow extreme 6%

Hello skincare junkies,

Today’s post is about a glycolic toner from the brand Nip+Fab( younger sister of the more expensive brand Rodial).I want to be honest and let you know I am not a huge fan of either of these brands: I tried several products( snake mask, magic gel, dragon’s blood gel, pink diamond serum) and several hundred pounds later I do not belive they are as effective as they claim to be.Having said that, I recently stumbled upon this glycolic toner and I fell in love with it. I am all about exfoliation, my skin can tolerate acids very well and when I saw this toner offered a 6% glycolic I immediately bought it ( on offer for £14.99 at Superdrug).

Glycolic acid is part of the group of active compounds known as AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids). Derived from cane sugar: It has the smallest molecules in the group so is able to penetrate skin deeply and easily, making it the most effective for treating fine lines, acne, blackheads, dullness, oiliness etc..The Highest concentration that you would find in an over the counter product is 10 %, so 6% is not too shabby. As a guy, I also find glycolic and salicylic acids are great at reducing razor bumps and shaving irritation.Whenever I use this toner my skin looks immediately brighter, pores appear smaller and over time I noticed my skin feels tighter and firmer too.Let’s get to it now:

WHAT IS IT: a toning solution, safe for use once or twice a day, designed to unclog pores, reveal brighter skin, reduce irritation and improve discoloration and pigmentation. If your skin is very sensitive, I would advise a patch test first and once a day use.

WHAT’S IN IT:  the hero ingredient here is glycolic acid,as discussed above, but the ingredient list offers some more surprises as we also have Hyaluronic acid for moisture retention, Allantoin for its great soothing and healing properties, Niacinamide (Vit B3)for its effectiveness at improving skin texture and discoloration  and Salicylic acid, which belongs to the BHA group, for its ability to unclog pores and reduce blackheads.Overall a very well formulated and effective toning treatment

WHO IS IT FOR anybody can benefit from this great product, especially problematic skin, individuals prone to pigmentation and acne scarring and anyone with dull looking skin.As mentioned above this is a great treatment for guys who suffer from shaving rashes.

The Glycolic fix liquid gold is available at nationwide NIP+FAB retailers, watch out as some of them are offering good discounts at the moment on this range.

UPDATE: nip+fab website now offering this toner at £9.95

If you want me to try any other exfoliating treatment please let me know and I’ll look into it.

I hope you enjoyed this review, don’t forget to subscribe to my youtube channel( link via the youtube button on this blog main page).

Kate Somerville Exfolikate

Hello beautiful people,

the sun is shining today in London, I am in a great mood and I want to share with you one of my all-time favorite exfoliating treatments: Exfolikate by Kate Somerville.

Kate Somerville is a celebrity cosmetic doctor based in L.A. and has made quite a name for herself for offering some great products. Her skincare line is pretty extensive and I haven’t explored all of it since some of the products are pretty pricey. Bare in mind Kate Somerville is not stocked in the U.K. currently ( it used to be sold in SpaceNK)so eBay, Amazon or other online retailers are your best bet to get your hands on her products.

Exfolikate is an exfoliating mask that can help retexturise the skin, shrink pores and brighten the skin. It’s fantastic before a night out or a big event.

WHAT’S IN IT : lactic acid, salicylic acid, vitamin a, papaya and pineapple enzymes and aloe vera. A powerful combination of acids and fruit enzymes in a correct ph to allow for great exfoliation.

WHO IS IT FOR anyone with dull or lackluster skin who wants to brighten and illuminate the complexion. Not suitable for very sensitive skins.

HOW TO USE IT  cleanse your skin, apply a thin layer massaging for 30 seconds and leave on the skin for no more than 2 or 3 minutes. This mask is pretty intense so go easy to avoid any irritation. Avoid the eye area. Wash off and follow with your normal routine.

You can purchase it at

You can also find some good deal on eBay(rrp is £72).

So there you have it, I am going to do my mask now and ill post a pic of the Exfolikate Glow.

NuFace Trinity

Hello precious drops of honey that sweeten my days,

today I want to share with you a device which is so amazing and multipurpose, you have to have it.

Nuface Trinity is a device which uses microcurrent to tone and firm the skin.Microcurrent has been around for ages and it has been shown to improve the overall appearance and firmness of the skin, so it is a great ally in our battle against aging,.

Microcurrent is a low level of electricity that mirrors the body’s own natural electrical currents, triggering chemical reactions at a cellular level to enhance the production of natural collagen and elastin, provide circulatory benefits, and re-educate the muscles of the face.

with just 5 minutes a day of use, you can have great benefits, even though I would advise you to use it for at least 15mins.You can tone up the jaw area, the cheek area, the forehead and now this device has been FDA cleared for use on the neck as well.

In the video below I will quickly show how to use it to get best results.

The device retails for £300, the box you also get a conduction gel( without a conducting gel the microcurrent won’t work, but you can use a simple aloe vera gel instead of the branded one)and the microcurrent head. Separately you can purchase two different attachments: Wrinkle reducer(a red light to plump up lines and wrinkles) and Elle( a smaller microcurrent head designed to be used around the eye and lip area). They both retail for around £135.

WHAT IS IT:  a microcurrent device aimed at firming the skin and improving collagen production. A 5-minute facelift!

WHO IS IT FOR anyone concerned with sagging skin, loss of elasticity and visible lines who wants an immediate as well as long-term effect.

You can get it at

I have been using mine for over a month now and it definitely works, consistency is key here though so you really have to commit to it.No pain no gain! I like to focus on my eyebrow area and my cheekbone and I normally use it for 5 minutes a day.

I hope you enjoyed.

Tria Age-defying laser and eye wrinkle corrective laser

 Hello skincare junkies!

As promised I will be reviewing both the face and eye corrective lasers by Tria.

First of all, to get it out of the way, I want to say I bought both devices myself on eBay ( you can get manufacturer refurbished ones for a fraction of the original price and with one-year eBay warranty) for £139 and £80 respectively instead of the rrp of £375 and £299.

I first bought the eye laser as the eye area is my main concern but unfortunately, it really burnt the orbital area! I then decided, after reading rave reviews, to purchase the face one and I have been using it for three weeks.

The Tria Age-defying laser sends targeted beams of light deep within the skin to stimulate collagen production in exactly the same way that professional laser treatments do for a fraction of the price and with almost no downtime.

You are supposed to use it every day for 8 weeks, stop for a month, and then start a new protocol if you feel the need. The machine has three levels of intensity but Tria suggests the use of level 3 to obtain best results.I started on level 2 right away(no pain no gain) and boy it stings!! after the treatment my face was very red and kind of sore so I applied my go-to soothing treatments( Dr. Sebagh Rose de Vie serum and Sukin moisture replenishing night cream). The next morning the redness had vanished so I continued the following evening and for the next three weeks so far every day diligently I used my laser.

My thoughts so far: This laser is amazing! My pores are practically non-existent, my nasolabial folds have diminished but overall my skin is incredibly luminous , radiant and healthy looking.I must warn you during the first few weeks of use you will experience some increased roughness in the skin texture and you might notice some little brown dots coming to the surface of the skin. Tria assured me that is normal so just stick with it. Please wear a Spf30 or higher daily, if you do not do it already.

I still have 5 weeks to go and I am sure my results will keep improving and I will make sure to post more pictures as I go along with the treatment.

I hope you found this review helpful.
